As the world of mansplaining, manspreading, and manterrupting takes over New York, seven women form a small town of misfits upstate. For their annual town meeting, they emerge singing of their unique and sometimes tragic tales of abuse and mistreatment.
This year, the town faces losing their land to a rich, real estate-politician named Doug who wants to turn Vagina Town into a strip mall.

Experiments Play Reading Series
Now accepting submissions! For the 21st season of La MaMa Experiments we will focus on theatre-makers working outside the American experience. Whether it’s plays about navigating the UK’s National Health Service or escaping an arranged marriage in India’s upperclass society, each month during our season we will present works in progress that explore universal themes set in frameworks foreign to most Americans.
