Everyone's Safety Is Important at La MaMa

Vaccinations

All staff and artists must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to be at La MaMa. 

Audience members, individuals under 12 years of age, delivery and repair people do not need to show proof of vaccination. However, we recommend that these people wear a mask when possible. 

Face Coverings

Masks are recommended when in the building.  N95 or KN95 masks are strongly suggested.

Other Guidelines

Audience members are encouraged to get tested before attending.

We ask that if you are not feeling well to please not come to the show. You can email boxoffice@lamama.org to exchange your ticket.

Please exit the building immediately after the performance.  If you are waiting for someone involved with the show, please wait for them in front of the building.

Full Coronavirus Policy

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and as part of our continued efforts to maintain a safe workplace for employees and audiences, La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club (“La MaMa”) is requiring employees to receive an FDA authorized COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of continued employment.  Below you will find additional information regarding this policy. This is an evolving public health emergency.  La MaMa fully intends this policy to comply with all applicable federal, state and local law or guidance. La MaMa is monitoring guidance from all applicable public health authorities and we reserve the right to modify this policy as we determine maybe necessary or appropriate.   

All La MaMa Employees Are Required to be Vaccinated 

La MaMa requires all job applicants, employees, and independent contractors (including but not limited to artists and performers) who will be working and/or providing services to La MaMa in-person to receive the COVID-19 vaccination as soon as they are eligible and the vaccine is available to them.   

Employees vaccinated pursuant to this policy shall provide confirmation of such vaccination in the form, time, and manner reasonably requested by La MaMa. Such confirmation may require a notice from the employee’s healthcare provider of the administration of the vaccination or a copy of the employee’s CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Card. As with all identifiable employee medical information, La MaMa will safeguard information concerning COVID-19 vaccinations in accordance with applicable law.  

Verifying Proof of Vaccination 

All staff and artists must show proof of vaccination upon entering the building. A photo ID must be also presented at the same time proof of vaccination is shown. Individuals must demonstrate that they have received at least one dose of a vaccine authorized by the United States Food and Drug Administration, or by the World Health Organization.  

Types of proof of vaccination are one of the following:
· A photo or hard copy of their CDC vaccination card
· NYCCOVID Safe App
· New York State Excelsior App
· Official vaccine record
· A photo or hard copy of an official vaccination record of a vaccine administered outside the United States for one of the following vaccines: AstraZeneca/SK Bioscience, Serum Institute of India/COVISHIELD and Vaxzevria, Sinopharm, or Sinovac. 

Unless notified otherwise in writing by La MaMa, employees must continue to comply with all applicable COVID-19 safety protocols after they are vaccinated, regardless of information that may be available from the CDC or other federal/state/local health authorities. La MaMa will determine, based on guidance from the CDC and applicable state/local public health authorities, whether and when such protocols will be modified or eliminated for fully vaccinated employees.
