La MaMa's SQUIRTS: Generations of Queer Performance / 2024: Drawn Together

In the 11th iteration of the annual intergenerational queer performance festival, Squirts presents: Drawn Together- An experimental playground for artists, thinkers, and organizers to give shape to impulses and ideas that characterize their moment. Over three nights, queer visionaries blur the lines between teacher and student, sister and mother, daddy and lover, stranger and friend. Through performance and dialogue, they sketch, retrace, and paint over drafts that were left behind. Squirts 2024 is a weekend long show series that exists as a fleeting community mural: in your face, in this instance, followed by a memory.

Each evening will begin with a conversation between an intergenerational pairing, with performances to follow. The array of minds that color this year's festival will be set in a field of yellow space- joyful, alarming, pissy, disturbing, delicious, flagrant, absolute, and pure.
