Please join us on June 17, 3–5PM to celebrate the rich extensive history of 74A East 4th Street since Ellen Stewart moved La MaMa to its own venue back in April 2, 1969 (7 years after she founded La MaMa) till today. We will have many live performances in the entire renovated building and in front of the building that represent La MaMa’s diversity throughout the years. The street will be closed off for a block party so we have to take advantage and party like 1969. Pictures and footage never seen before will be presented.
Albert Poland, Agosto Machado, Peggy Shaw, Chris Tanner, Donald Eastman, Barbara Montgomery, Michael Lynch, Julie Atlas Muz, John Jesurun, Don Arrington, Maria Elena, Jane Catherine Shaw, Kim Ima, George Drance, Nicky Paraiso, Bonnie Stein, Yoshiko Chuma, Brian Belovitch, and more to be announced
