ABOUT
What’s cooking for BKBX?
Through our ensemble-devised performances, teaching residencies in Physical Storytelling, and our community-led festival, PhysFestNYC, BKBX seeks to provide meaningful and accessible artistic experiences to New Yorkers across our 25+ programs per year. Now, we are returning to the studio to build new work, and responding to the world we find ourselves in. Thanks to so many large-scale crises in concert, it’s easy to feel distanced from one another. Mime has a knack for inverting this phenomenon; we leave empty spaces and silent gestures so you can fill them in, co-creating in your own imagination. Body Rhyme will activate this audience co-creation as we debut some fresh creations in progress. In the spirit of reigniting our sense of community, the evening will also feature two artists who deeply inspire BKBX and continue to impact our journey: musician-songstress Arga Reath @argareath and popper Ice-O @king.ice.o.
