ABOUT

spit like an oil slick is a fractured meditation on everything that enters and leaves your body — over the hours of 3-10 a.m. in some well-sullied club bathroom. There’s our lovely HOST, so nauseated she’s punching a hole straight through our dear, dear COWBOY. He’s an irregular regular that BABY is being a baby, but they’re having a good time, aren’t they? Are they? Where did lonely, lonely TOILET come from? It’s been a long night-to-morning, but it’s not time to go home.

BIOS

J Xiang is a playwright who used to only write about the desert; now he lives in Brooklyn. This was supposed to be his final cowboy play. He’s been a Lambda Literary Fellow, an O’Neill NPC & BAPF semi-finalist (x2), a member of Primary Stages’s Echoes Writers Group & Kearny Street Workshop’s Interdisciplinary Writers Lab, and has won the Seymour Brick Memorial Prize & Joseph Milton Fee Jr. Awards. Poetry published by Black Warrior Review, DREGINALD, & Lunch Ticket, among others. In another world, he is living a blissful life as an algebraic number theorist. MFA: Hunter College, ‘26, hopefully.
