POSTPONED La MaMa Kids! Dance Festival Workshop

In this fun workshop for the young dancers (5 and up) we will explore moving creatively together. We will make up a story and dance it, stringing together movements, and tell a story with our bodies. Maybe we will fly on an adventure into space?!

Marina Celander is a longtime teaching artist in the NYC public schools and enjoys teaching creative dance for the very young dancer. She was part of Brooklyn Arts Council and Art in DUMBO’s inaugural Six Foot Platform project in 2021. Marina received the Pan Asian Repertory Theatre’s Red Socks Award in 2014 for her contribution to Asian American theater. Award in 2014 for her contribution to Asian American theater. catapulted, together with the millstone, into outer space.

La MaMa Kids Online presents kids performances and hands-on workshops online, timed especially for “after school” viewing! La MaMa will continue to use emerging technologies to create a new venue for artistic expression that questions how art can function and how we as a society can survive challenging periods of history.
