ABOUT
Tuning in to the frequencies of ancestors and heroes, the SLANT Performance Group is back to rile things up with a dynamic evening of nostalgic works and new material in Lucky FM. Lucky FM is performed by the trio ensemble’s signature style of humor and drama with live guitars, bamboo flutes, percussion, movement, and storytelling in a journey celebrating Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AANHPI).
SLANT is the trio ensemble of Rick Ebihara, Wayland Quintero, and Perry Yung. In 1995, SLANT premiered “Big Dicks, Asian Men” followed by other works through the 2000s that featured farcical themes punctuated by outlandish and poignant moments that audiences flocked to see at La MaMa and across the USA.
