La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club seeks a Program Coordinator to assist with thecoordination and outreach for its arts, education and community program serving youth, artists, students, and seniors. La MaMa has been devising new ways and developing new tools to provide radical access to the arts that promote new models of cultural connectivity serving our local and global communities. To help realize this goal, The Program Coordinator will be tasked with expanding La MaMa’s programming by developing partnerships with community, youth organizations, and higher education organizations.
Responsibilities include outreach for both on site and remote engagement with: high school and college students for shows, talk backs, and workshops; Senior Centers for art-making and performance workshops; and local schools for La MaMa Kids’ shows, workshops, and future day camp opportunities. The Program Coordinator will also collaborate with La MaMa Archive’s Digital Projects Director to promote the availability of educational materials to higher learning institutions for subscription packages, onsite tours, and remote learning opportunities.
· Strong communication, writing and people skills.
· Creative, open, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
· Experience with community/education programs at nonprofits.
· Love of experimental theatre
