Coffeehouse Chronicles - ARCHIVES
Ellen Stewart, Executive Director & Artistic Director
Chris Kapp, Director

The Coffeehouse Chronicles are held in "The Club" at La MaMa ETC, our intimate 99-seat cabaret/ coffee house/ theatre space. This program presents a personal oral account of the history, creation and development of Off-Off Broadway. We began this program two years ago and continue to present the very beginning of La MaMa, concentrating on the period of 1961 through 1969 with the individuals who created our rich theatrical background.

Admission is free; we do pass the hat keeping with tradition.
