"It's not just that he's beautiful and charming with the sparkliest red lips and nipples I've ever seen. It's that his smart, funny, tragic songs are life-affirming in their universality, yet .he's on to the next before you realize the profundity of what he's said."
-- The Scotsman
A subversive fusion of cabaret, political tirade and gender illusion, Taylor Mac's Herald Angel Award winning solo piece is both visually surreal and compellingly human. Accompanied only by outrageous costumes and a ukelele, this New York performance art legend sings songs about love, mermaids, revolution and subway safety directives among others. A one night only event fueled by "stark-raving fabulousness".
Taylor Mac is an award winning playwright, performance artist, actor, composer, and director. His solo works, has been performed at Joe's Pub, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, PS 122, The Sydney Opera House, and PICA's Time Based Arts Festival.
