| By popular demand or his own stubbornness, Mike
Iveson brings back his character Nurse Baby Asparagus to
LaMaMa at The Club in an all new show, Nurse Baby Asparagus: Smooth Out
the Night. He’ll be tinkling the ivories, singing his lively parodies
and sharing the stage with some talented friends (to be announced.) His
last show, I’m Special the Heat is On, played to adoring crowds at
LaMaMa last year. Many of the songs debuted on the downtown theatre talk
show, The Lucy Show, which Mike co-hosts with the legendary Factress.
MIKE IVESON
Mike performs with and composes music for Sarah Michelson, including Shadowmann
at PS 122 and the Kitchen. In addition, his music has appeared alongside
Le Tigre’s in Cecilia Dougherty’s two-channel video Gone.
He has performed with many fantastic artists including: Dancenoise (including
at The Club at LaMaMa in Hedda Gabler, Hedda Gabler), Charles Atlas, Mike
Taylor, Yvonne Meier, Dance Kumikokimoto, The Alien Comic/Jack Bump, Patricia
Fox and Tal Yarden, Aaron Landsman, Cecelia Dougherty and the devastating
Summer of Bad Plays Performance Collective.
