Company Gojico brings their latest multi-media
dance-theater piece, "Moodswings: or the Journey of a Hair ",
to The Club at LaMaMa ETC. The dadaistic work deals with human behavior.
It addresses personal struggle through a humorous look at the silly dance
we do day in and day out. “Moodswings:…” is the journey
of six characters traveling through an ever-changing landscape of passion,
influence and self-reflection.
The music includes masterpieces of different cultures, composed and juxtaposed
through ambient intermezzos and electronic remixes by Kirk Peterkin and
Stefano Zazzera.
The choreography and dance is by Evelyna Dann, co-choreographed by Shizu
Homma, Caroline Cho, Lars Peerce, Shara Zeiger, Zoe Canner and John Benoit.
