Regained Innocence

"Regained Innocence" by Stephanie Rafferty is a modern dance piece about a young girl's travels from childhood into adulthood and her individual experiences with the seven deadly sins. Rafferty incorporates a wide range of dance styles including: lyrical, abstract, hip-hop, jazz, and tap throughout the show. Original Music is by Moziko Wind; the Homeless Man's Hymn is by Ro_e Albuher. The piece is choreographed by Rafferty in collaboration with the company: Todd Evans, Fatima Georges, Jason Hays, Martine Quigley, Stephanie Rafferty, Merav Tal, Sarah Young. Hip Hop choreography is by Moziko Wind. Stephanie Rafferty moved to New York City two years ago after graduating with a BA in theatre from Fairmont State College in Fairmont, West Virginia. She has performed at La MaMa in productions of the Great Jones Repertory Company, Federico Restrepo, Raine Bode, and Shigeko Sugo. She was assistant director and choreographer of "The Seagull," directed by Gian Marco Laforte, at La MaMa.
