A reflection on public/private relations by one Slovene performance artist and
40 audience members and their cell phones. Bring a cell phone if you have one!
The artist may ask you to call your friends and allow him to converse.Emil Hrvatin is a theatre director
and performance artist who runs the non-profit organization Maska in Ljubljana,
Slovenia (www.maska.si). He will perform "Miss Mobile," which is based
on a "reflecting of public/private relation." It's a performance in
which he asks audience members to call their friends by mobile phones and then
he lends them eight phones to do so. The content of the conversations varies,
it's basically about politics and people's relationship to it. At the end, audience
members vote for the "Miss or Mister of Virtual Characters." So,
bring a cell phone if you have one! The artist may ask you to call your friends
