Urban Scuba is a thrilling deep dive into the depths of our civilization, finding inspired perspectives in our discarded and unwanted remnants. With a dynamic mashup of dance, high-flying acrobatics, theatre and spectacle, it departs from ground level, flying above and diving below. Urban Scuba looks at the cast-off cross of our world, upcycling and repurposing it with imagination and off-the-wall humor, rocking out to an original, pulsating electro-rock live music score. The show is the ultimate release from the ordinary!
First launched in August 2015 at Bizarre Bushwick in Brooklyn, Sasha Velour’s NightGowns has grown into an internationally acclaimed drag performance revue. From the beginning, Velour created the all-inclusive show in the hopes of giving performers a space to bring their best and most daring work.

DPOH and Plus421 Foundation proudly presents the highly
anticipated New York premiere of a bold stage adaptation of “The Bloody
Sonnets”, the poetic masterwork of Slovakia’s literary giant Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav.
This intense performative concert for two actresses transcends time, bringing audiences face-to-face with the haunting visions of World War I — its
propaganda, gender roles in crisis, and the lasting scars of war.
Directed by Dávid Paška, an up-and-coming theatre star from Slovakia,
Featuring Katarína Morháčová and Anna Maria Janeková, with dramaturgy by Darina Abrahámová, the production breathes new life into Hviezdoslav’s propheticanti-war poetry, translated into English by John Minahane.
Sweetwater: The Gospel of Iman explores the reality of chosen family through the eyes of Michael, a young gay Black writer, and Charlie, a struggling Black actress, as they navigate life in New York City during the AIDS epidemic. Their powerful bond defies conventional definitions of love, taking them on a journey that reshapes their understanding of intimacy, devotion, and legacy.

Join us for a new tango-infused version of Gluck’s classic opera, set in a cabaret in Buenos Aires in the 1930s.
This tango version of Gluck’s opera Orfeo ed Euridice, with direction and dramaturgy by Mariana Ciolfi and musical arrangements by Sebastian Zubieta, is based on the version Gluck premiered in Vienna in 1762. The characters are transported to a carnival celebration in Buenos Aires in the 1930s, and the score is re-orchestrated for a tango quartet. Gluck’s arias are the musical focus, while the recitatives, which traditionally provide dramatic context, are replaced by poetic texts written by great tango lyricists such as José María Contursi and Emilio Fresedo, compiled by Ciolfi.
Generación Perdida is a monodrama-opera composed by Mexican composer Jorge Sosa, based on the book by Mexican-Colombian poet Javier Moro Hernandez (Ediciones Periféricas). The piece explores the humanitarian crisis affecting Mexico and Latin America, where kidnapping and forced disappearances have profoundly impacted countless communities over the past decade. It reflects on the complex realities of violence in the region and the broader social and political forces at play.
